The Luigi Illica International Prize, promoted by the pro loco of Castell’Arquato (PC), was dedicated to two members of the Associazione Musicale Vittorio Gnecchi Ruscone: to the musicologist and composer Marco Iannelli for the book Il caso Cassandra. Una storia del Novecento, and to the artistic director Nikolaos Velissiotis for the discovery, performance and recording of Vittorio Gnecchi’s opera Cassandra on a libretto by Luigi Illica.
